on a larkspur

our band, back40, had a fabulous time playing a halloween / neighborhood / housewarming party on saturday in larkspur, up in marin county. the neighborhood (near dolliver park) was all thomas kinkaid-y and perfect and you know, the streets were built around redwood trees so there's trees IN the streets! it is almost too much goodness for the eyes to behold. i did not want to return to my soma homeless poop building after that experience, to say the least. yeah, some dude pooped all over the front of my building a few weeks ago and it's still there. and it's even rained a few times since then! back to the party: we played on a big back deck surrounded by every kind of tree and vegetation..

there were loads of beautiful smart funny wonderful precious children there..

.. and on breaks i hung out with them and we made up songs with all the little instruments we gathered. GAWD that was awesome..

i sure like this time of year. it brings good things, i think. praise jesus and pass the pie, please.
